Why I’m Different
I want to give you the moments other photographers overlook, alongside the beautiful portraits you expect from your wedding photographer.
I create a visual story of your wedding day, sometimes by directing and composing, sometimes by stepping back and anticipating what’s about to happen.
I’m constantly looking for the moment. I might sit quietly in one spot with my camera up, waiting for something to unfold because I’ve noticed a look, a relationship, or a little piece of the story that I know is coming.
The result is a gallery that goes beyond the obvious moments and captures the things happening all around you. And I’m funny too, so that helps.
The best thing about her photos is that she captured the real essence of our wedding, the photos show us how we are - pretty much constantly laughing.We cannot thank her enough for the amazing memories she's given us with her photos.

I’m Shelley. I take pictures at weddings. A lot of them.
I’m based in Norfolk County and photograph weddings across Southern Ontario including Hamilton, London, Toronto, Guelph, and Cambridge.
I focus on the emotional reactions, the energy , the blink-and-you-miss-it things happening all around you. But I also genuinely love creating portraits. I’ll squeal over good light, get excited about a backdrop, and occasionally act like a photo is about to win me a Pulitzer.
I photograph all couples - LGBTQ+ weddings are always welcome here.
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
I make sure you get a variety from the day.
I won’t do long 2 hr photo sessions and take you away from your day.
I like to break couple portraits into smaller pieces throughout the day, maybe 25 minutes during a first look, 20 minutes after the ceremony, another 20 during golden hour and a 15 minutes for nighttime photos.
Direction when you Need it
You’ll know exactly what to do in front of my camera.
I’ll give you direction when it’s helpful. I’ll put you in good light, give you something to do. It feels like a short walk together where you finally get a moment alone. The light is good, you’re a little giddy, a little relieved, and for a few minutes the wedding disappears and it’s just the two of you
I PAY ATTENTION. ANTICIPATE. WAIT.
Some of the best photographs happen without me involved.
I’m paying attention to what’s happening around me, looking for the moment before it happens. Sometimes that means moving quickly. Sometimes it means standing completely still, camera up, waiting for something to unfold.

I’m very good at getting everyone where they need to be, keeping things moving, and knowing which photo combination comes next. It’s not the sexiest part of the day, but I get a surprising number of compliments from couples and their families about how smoothly I handle it.

It’s important that your gallery feels like the whole day, not just the highlights. The photographs you expected, the ones you didn’t know were happening, the details you spent months choosing, the candids, the people you love, and all the little things happening around you. I deliver it.
FROM BOOKING TO WEDDING DAY
I’m quick to respond to emails and texts. I don’t leave you on read.
I take the time to get to know you before the wedding and learn who’s who in your inner circle. I learn names quickly, remember faces, and somehow retain an alarming amount of information about people I’ve met once.
I was blessed with a very good memory. It comes in handy.
Getting married at an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean?
I photograph Ontario couples who are trading banquet halls for palm trees and ocean air.
Destination weddings at resorts aren’t just about the ceremony. They’re a few days of friends, family, sunburns and poolside drinks
I’m there to document all of it.
Everyone that sees my wedding photos is absolutely blown away! They are pure magic and better than we could have even imagined. We were literally screaming at the photos in the trees by the dock!
